Counselor Registration

Minimum Age for Counseling:

  • Older (13 – 16 years) Camps: 18 Years
  • Younger (9 – 12 years) Camps: 17 Years

Key Dates:

  • Application Part I Registration Dates: Monday, Mar 30 – Sunday April 12, 2026
    • Application process this year is capped with a certain number of seats by gender per camp to balance camp needs across all camps.
  • Application Part II Due: Monday, May 4, 2026
  • Application decision notification sent to applicants by Sunday May 10, 2026
  • Mandatory Camp Training and Summer Youth Retreat at Vraj: June 19 – June 21, 2026

Must complete full application (Part I and Part II) in order to be considered as a counselor for VYC 2026 Camps

  • Part I requires an uploadable copy of your resume (.pdf format) and an uploadable copy of your birth certificate or passport for proof of age.
  • Part II (Health Information) is due by Monday, May 4, 2026.
    • Part II requires uploadable copy of front and back of counselor health insurance ID
    • Part II for 17 year old applicants must be filled out by a parent.
  • Counselors under 18 years of age MUST submit Medical Clearance Form by Monday, June 22, 2026.

Service Hours:

  • Youth Volunteering at an event can receive a certificate for 8 hours of service
  • Youth leading at event can receive a certificate for 16 hours of service
  • Youth volunteering at camp can receive a certificate for 70 hours of service

  • Camp 1: Sat. Jul 11 – Sat. Jul 18, 2026 (9 – 12 Yrs.)
  • Camp 2: Sat. Jul 18 – Sat. Jul 25, 2026 (9 – 12 Yrs.)
  • Camp 3: Sat. Jul 25 – Sat. Aug 1, 2026 (13 – 16 Yrs.)
  • Camp 4: Sat. Aug 1 – Sat. Aug 8, 2026 (13 – 16 Yrs.)
  • Camp 5: Sat. Aug 8 – Sat. Aug 15, 2026 (9 – 12 Yrs.)

Camp Documents:

For Counselors under 18 years age: If you have an Allergy or Asthma which requires you to take medication/ an inhaler/Epi-Pen, please have the following documents completed by your physician, along with the Counselor Medical Clearance Form. Please submit these documents when registering for camp.
