Counselor Registration Open again:

Minimum Age for Counseling:

• Older (13 – 16 years) Camps: 18 Years
• Younger (9 – 12 years) Camps: 17 Years

Counselor Application Part I Registration Opens: Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Counselor Application Part I Registration Ends: Sunday April 27, 2025.
Counselor Application Part II Due: Monday May 5, 2025.

• Must complete full application (Part I and Part II) in order to be considered as a counselor for VYC 2025 Camps
  • Part I requires an uploadable copy of your resume (.pdf format) and an uploadable copy of your birth certificate or passport for proof of age.
  • Part II (Health Information) is due by Monday May 5, 2025. 
    • Part II requires uploadable copy of front and back of counselor health insurance ID
    • Part II for 17 year old applicants must be filled out by a parent.
  • Counselors under 18 years of age MUST submit Medical Clearance Form by Monday June 23, 2025.

Service Hours:

• Youth volunteering at an event can receive a certificate for 8 hours of service
• Youth leading at event can receive a certificate for 16 hours of service
• Youth volunteering at camp can receive a certificate for 70 hours of service

Counselor Registration Policies:

• Registration fee of $50 is applied to all applications.
• Counselor deposit of $50 is collected at time of registration and is returned to counselor:
  • If the counselor successfully completed the assigned camp.
  • If the applicant was not selected as a counselor for VYC 2025. 
  • If the applicant decides to withdraw their application before Monday, May 19, 2025.
  • If the applicant chooses to donate the counselor deposit to VYC Events during registration. 
• Counselors will be notified of their application decision by Sunday May 11, 2025.
• Counselors must attend training at Vraj. Counsellor Training and Summer Youth Retreat will be held at Vraj from June 6 to June 8, 2025.
• All applicants who choose to withdraw after May 19, 2025 are subject to forfeiture of their counselor deposit.
• Registration will be cancelled if you file a dispute with your Stripe, credit card company or bank for any reason.
